This project is a subset of birth of the audience. It started out as just sending art work to strangers in Austin as a way to get my art seen by an audience and to further community access to the arts. But I started to realize I was leaving out my strongest group of supporters: my best friends. I thought the best way to handle this was to just give them art but I didn’t want to abandon the conceptual side of my project. This is where the development of the “operations” began. Operation Strangers was the first incarnation of this project and operation besties is the second. More to come!
